Human security- especially its economic dimension- is noted as a main component of essential human rights and development in every society. With an analytical deductive method, this article tries to extract the application of jurisprudential rules and to categories them concerning the provision and the guarantee of the economic dimension of human security. After a brief explanation of the subject of discussion in security studies, “investment security” and “job and income security” as two main norms and dimensions of economic security have been examined. The results of this study show that some jurisprudential rules support these norms while recognizing the economic security of individuals and emphasizing on it. Some other jurisprudential rules avoid encroaching on people's economic rights and provide investment and job security. It can also be observed that some jurisprudential rules limit the economic freedom of individuals to insure the stability of the economic system of the society.
