According to Islamic Shariah, Li`ān is a way of disproving biological paternity between two persons, but it can be in contrast with a DNA paternity test. This article tries to analyze this problem according to Shia jurisprudence. The results show that for the results of library investigations makes certainty, DNA test can be considered another independent way of disproving biological paternity. Also, because the one who makes Li`ān is doing so while he/she is certain, his/her right should not be neglected. Therefore, if these two way conflict each other, DNA cannot challenge the authority of Li`ān.
